Governors Blog - Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! - Debbie Tomkinson 18th December 2019
Date: 18th Dec 2019 @ 5:49pm
It is that time of year when we deck the (school) hall because very soon, Santa Claus is coming to town. As the yuletide poet Noddy Holder may say – ITS CHRISTMAAAS! I will keep this blog brief but I did just want to end 2019 by saying merry Christmas everyone!
Christmas is, for any primary school, the most wonderful time of the year, there are nativities, Christmas parties and festive jumpers galore. I confess that I may possibly have been something of a grinch in Christmas past but seeing the children’s joy around the school makes me think that I wish it could be Christmas every day!
Just like Santa’s elves, this is a really busy time for staff and I would like to thank them for working so hard in ensuring that our children have such magical memories. I would also like to thank all parents/carers and volunteers for their support throughout the year. On behalf of governors we wish you a merry Christmas and we hope you are able to spend some quality time with your family and loved ones (as well as maybe a little bit of mistletoe and wine).
I hope you all have a fun-filled festive break and I look forward to seeing you all again in 2020.
